Audio Wiring

      The design of a wiring system can make or break a recording studio. Particularly in the face of the current rate of technological change in the audio and music business, the downfall of many an otherwise excellent system has been its lack of planned upgradeability. After a few additions to such systems, faults start appearing which can be very difficult to trace and rectify. With the ever increasing complexity of even modest recording setups, there is no substitute for fully documented wiring schedules.

      When we design a systematic installation, the wiring schedule is presented in two forms, sorted by location and sorted by signal path, which enables efficient tracing of faults when they arise.

      Design time varies enormously, depending on the complexity of the audio system, and starts from about two days for a fairly small eight or sixteen track, including jackfield layout, earthing scheme and jumper scheduling for the Krone wiring blocks.

      With regard to the actual installation work, we are happy to take on as much or as little of the wiring as you require, whether working to our design or yours, or to design a system to be installed by your own people.
